Lamp Making Pottery Workshop

Craft a unique ceramic lamp at this hand building pottery class in Bristol.

2 hours Location Saltford and other locations Class size 1 to 8 guests   £45

Try something genuinely different at this ceramic lamp-making workshop in Bristol, where you'll use the slab-building technique to craft a one-of-a-kind lamp from scratch – no experience needed.
You'll start by shaping your lamp from clay before carving out your own intricate patterns, designed to let the light filter through in the most beautiful way. Once you're happy with your piece, you'll choose a glaze colour to finish it off, and your tutor will take care of the firing and glazing in their home studio.
It's a hands-on, low-pressure session with all materials provided and friendly guidance throughout – the kind of class where you surprise yourself with what you're capable of. You'll be part of a warm, creative group of fellow makers, all working at their own pace with plenty of support along the way.
The result is a functional piece of handmade ceramics that genuinely earns its place in your home – and the satisfaction of knowing you made it yourself.
Please note: your finished lamp will be ready to collect from the venue after four weeks, once firing and glazing are complete.
